Project Partners
This application experiment relies on the strong commitment of partners to provide innovative solutions and services to recover after the COVID-19 crisis. The two Italian industrial partners are complementary to each other: SCORTA through the COGNINTEL tool expects to deliver better products (thread cutting tools) and also better services. ERREDUE (the technology and service provider) will deliver AI/ML models for advanced diagnostics and prognostics for the machine tool industry.
The impact of the experiment is boosted by the strong collaboration between industrial partners and a Czech Digital Innovation Hub (DIH). The CIIRC CTU ensures connection with relevant stakeholders as well as with DIH4CPS members through proper communication and networking activities. CIIRC CTU will replicate the approach in complementary manufacturing scenarios. Finally, the CIIRC CTU has the opportunity to strengthen its digital services within the context of Industry 4.0.

Role in the experiment
The Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics is a specialised institute of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CIIRC CTU). CIIRC CTU is a DIH enrolled in the EC DIH Catalogue. CIIRC CTU’s Testbed for Industry 4.0 creates a unique research facility for the development and testing of innovative solutions for smart factories.
The role of CIIRC is to Lead & implement proper dissemination and networking actions. As well as supporting industrial partners in replication test of the approach towards other industrial sectors (e.g. robotics or other production machines). The Insitute also aims to boost future market uptake of new technologies.

SCORTA Srl is an Italian leading manufacturer of high-quality thread cutting tools. SCORTA’s leadership in the field has been reached thanks to its long-standing experience in the industry. It is a mark of excellence that guarantees quality production.
SCORTA as end-user provides the implementation of the solution in a machining centre for thread cutting tools production (such as nut taps, fitting taps, thread chasers, machine taps), field data collection (training and deployment) and final validation.
